finding emissions failure

well after my car failed its mot due to emissions on sat, taken to the garage today and dropped off

lambda sensor checked and was ok before i left, oil sump pipe was nearly closed and full of gunk. be interesting to see if this is the whole cause or that plus the cat, as it was basically blocked as well

fingers crossed its being blocked as this is the easier one really

looks like its the cat, still under warranty til sat so hopefully fixed friday then retest sat and then taxed at the last minute

be careful you will very rarely find a faulty cat - more likely a cat damaged by other causes like over fueling etc

if you get given a new one warranty grab it and run

lol, its a case of new cat on warranty then when i can part exchange for a new ibiza
