In the attic!
After doing loads of research on here, I've just put a deposit down on an 03 Leon Cupra R 210 in black with 38k miles :)

Got it at a really good price too 8,600 ;) The garage owner didn't quite know his stuff so i used all the knowledge i gained on here to talk him down from 9,400 :funk:

Gave it a full inspection and HPI check, apart from it needing the big 40k service (bargaining point lol) has a wiring fault with the o/s mirror (I'm an electronic engineer ;) ) 2 very minor scratches and def needs a new splitter as its looks like its hit everything in its path! The car was mint other than that, well pleased. It has the tear drop mirrors so i think its one of the later model spoken about in the comparison :D

Then i got home to find an e-mail from greenlight insurance giving me a quote for £492 [B)] Cheapest I've ever had on any car!

My budget was 11k but I'd rather spend the rest on a remap and Forge-dv. Its not going to be as quick as my old 350bhp EVO VI but thats not really why i bought it, its soooo quiet and smooth plus the build quality is on another level compared to the VI.

It will do until i get an EVO VIII or IX in a year or so:whistle:

Plus it has not had any of the common faults yet so i'll have to be wary! Any symptoms i should look out for?

Are the windows standard colour or do you think they've been tinted??

Hope u are enjoying the beast!
The windows looks standard to me too.

I am sure that you will enjoy it a hell of a lot more once you get it :D

Nothing really to look out for apart from the usual wear and tear.
I would check that it doesn't pull too badly to the left as this seems to be a common trait in the LCR.

It looks mint in the pictures and you are getting it for a great price. Well done!

All the best

Cheers guys, can't wait to pick it up and let the modding commence!

First step: get rid of that awful standard stereo and put my Pioneer dual face with i-pod adapter in place of the changer with 2 JL-Audio amps and a Alpine type X sub, plus a set of Focal 165 K2 components speakers for the front!

Got to have good sounds:funk:

Well done matey, you got a good bargain there - a fine choice of car (Everyone knows the '03s are the fastest of all ;))

Modding is both addictive and expensive, a deadly combination... I know what you mean about the stereo, my cd standard changer is unreliable at best. hopefully getting an LG LAN9600R very soon.... mmm
