Just bought a 1.4tdi.The Cupra's will be rested from this weekend and will be used for pleasure only,that means the Mk2 16v will be down to 4 miles a week when the wife gives it a run out!Mine will probably be double that weekly amount.Was putting too many miles on them both,the 16v up to 3 years ago only had 18,000 on it,now its 45,000 and want to keep it low.Mines on 54,000.Pick the Arosa up Thursday evening,silver in colour,52 reg,fsh,65,000 miles.The petrol/diesel bill from next week should plummet.

Yes, it's going to be a workhorse but hopefully a bit of fun as well.Quite familiar with them as my eldest son had a 16V about 4 years ago & the youngest has a Lupo GTI.The driveway will be getting crowded as from Thursday as the Cupra's,Lupo,Rallye Golf & Arosa will all be parked on it.

Now its been fixed its ok.Just after I bought it,it started running rough when it had warmed up.Cylinder head had to come off as some of the valves were 'sticking' due to carbon build up.Had it back for just over a week & everything now seems fine.The 20vt & 16v are now officially weekend cars only.
