Halfords standard rubber mounts with a jubilee clip around them, works mint! With the metal/rubber standard mounts, drill the rivet holding the rubber in. New halfords rubber mount with a jubilee clip again and bolt it into the metal mount.
Mine have been like this for over a year and its still solid
I have replaced the existing ones with powerflex rubbers and it sorted my problem, mid box was hitting on the heat shield, it is nice and solid now and has been for a good couple of months
i used the powerflex exh005 ones ,a diamond shape, think they are 70mm x 50mm. They are nice and tight on the metal hangers on the exhaust so there is not much movement side to side.
The only thing you have to do is cut the bracket,to remove the OE ones on and replace it with a bolt.
What do you mean mate, so if I get 3 exhaust mounts, and gave them to the guy when he is fitting my exhaust it will be a mission for him to swap them over?
The rubber mount is sat on a steel bracket that you have take off, you cant get the rubber off the bracket to replace it without braking the bracket. Once you have got the old rubber mount off and the new 1 on it needs a spot of weld to make it back to as was to put back on the car. Thats how mine were and im sure they have been on there from new. I got powerlex from halfords (same code as guys above) think they were about a fiver each. Ended up wishing id taken mine to the garage took longer than expected.
