:funk: Hi all....... :funk:

I'm wanting to do an overall break pad and disk change (front and back) on my arosa but need the parts.

Anyone know a good place/ website /brand I can get a set from?

I drive a 1.4 16V Sport, Year 2000. I have no idea what size the pads/disks are on it so cannot be of any help there.

www.vwspares.co.uk always has a good selection but I have no idea which would be suited to my vehicle as I don't know the sizes. :-o

any help, suggestions would be much appreciated,

Thanks all.

Try Europarts if they are in your area. I got ATE power discs (£50 a pair) And ATE pads (£15 a pair) from them and they got the right parts from my REG No.

My TDi is in need of some discs and pads too,so im just wondering that id need two sets of pads and 2 discs, they dont came as a pair?

So it comes to £71.54 all in, thats quite good i think.

But what about the quality of the pads and discs? Are they any good from there?

the sport uses the 256mm disc at the front

Mine would be the same then?

Cheers

your TDi will have the same front brakes as the sport which is the 256mm discs but will have drums on the rear the same as the rest of the range where as your 1litre will have 239mm discs on the front

edit* on the subject of eurocarparts , im running ATE discs and pads out of there and there fine , ive ran them for over 7k and they stop well , mind you its only a 1litre but still :p

My brakes are much better too, although before they bedded in they were pretty non existant, but they soon got worn in.

I just went for Motorquip one, cheap and chearefull, and i tell you what, i can NOT fault them!

The brakes now have their bite back, they are very effective, and i havent managed to overcook them yet, which happened easily with the standard SEAT ones.

Another plus is they are giving off very little brake dust too, so my wheels are staying cleaner longer.

Although i have these brakes on my 1.0S too, and they were the same, keeping clean wheels but after a while they changed and the wheels get black so quickly now!

So i will wait and see, but so far so good :D
