Is it possible to delete/remove a phone from the FR bluethooth kit? and if so how, and will this delete all of the contacts aswell?

Cheers

Youre mobile will say in the device history SEAT_UHV delete that from it and it will no longer connect to the car, on Motorola phones (rest as well?) the phone book in the phone (not sim) downloads every time the mobile connects to the car if you do not want an individual entry to be seen in the car move it to the sim on the mobile. If you have entered voice dialling to the car you can delete all these with one command entered vocally or keep them in the car for use with youre next mobile.

Hmmm thicko question... So you can only use voice dialling if you send your contacts from phone to car?

That bit always confused me. I can manually select all the names on my phone's contact list via the stalk-end switch, and dial them no problems, but it always says "The phone book is empty" if I try to "select name" voice command.

That kinda makes sense now that I've written it down. I'll have to give it a go when i'm next in the car.

Probably says all this in the manual, which I've not really read.

To store voice dial you press the voice button on the steering wheel and select "ENTER NAME" and then by voice enter the name followed by the number and say "STORE NUMBER" , once its stored you then "SELECT NAME" and speak the name you saved, it then repeats youre recorded voice and you then say DIAL all while youre mobile is connected by bluetooth (you also see the phone book entry in the displayat this point) You can also dial 'by voice' and speak numbers to it to dial, Generally though its easier to dial off the stalks and only voice dial youre most used numbers as it picks up other peoples voices in the car and says pardon...

Excuse my ignorance, but does this mean that you can save numbers for the voice dial even if your phone doesn't have phonebook support?

The phone book only transfers (on a v3 anyway) from the phone's address book to the car it does not transfer info from the sim the missing entries may be stored on the sim card in which case transfer them to the mobile phone's internal memory you should be ok then.
