getting 1st year service done elsewhere?

Just done 8k in my motor and thinking about its first service.

Now i know Seat are known to be silly with servicing prices, so was thinking about taking it elsewhere, but a bit worried about voiding the warrenty?

Im also looking at getting a remap so thought, hmmmm could take it to Big Boyz Toyz and get it serviced there, and at the same time get them to stage 1 it.

Kill to birds with 1 stone and all that.....

But would i still keep my seat warrenty?

Covered a thousand times before. EU directive means you can get your car serviced anywhere as long as they use genuine parts and are VAT registered

I started a thread on this about a month ago. I took mine to a vw/audi specialist and saved about 50% off Seats price. mines also 1yr old with 8k on it.

^^^^ is exactly right, and if they try and tell you otherwise they are lying! We have had one customer who was told that if he had his car serviced anywhere else other than a dealers he would void his warranty instantly.... absolutely rubbish!

Unfortunately the remap will do quite a good job at voiding a good chunk of your warranty

my local seat want £185 for the 1st year service. Local BMW specialist quoted me £80
