MP3 Stereo and iTunes

Using iTunes you can get car stereo to display album, artist and track name by ripping it with ID tags. Here’s how;
1. Make a new playlist (Ctrl+N)
2. Drag music into playlist
3. Select all tracks in playlist (Ctrl+A)
4. Right click and select Convert “ID3 Tags”
5. Select ID3 tag version “v1.0”
6. Burn to CD

It means that every time you press the “info” button on the stereo you actually get into about song.

Apologies if this has been posted before, but could not find anything specific to iTunes via the search.

Yeah, all you need to make sure is that you tag your mp3s (at least for use in the car) with v1.0 id3 tags. You can do that with this: http://www.mp3tag.de/en/

Then just burn your mp3s to cd as you normally would - generally with each album in a different folder. :)

RealPlayer always adds the track names when you copy tracks onto a disk (it's much easier than iTunes). It's just a shame the name isn't displayed all the time.

Massive thumbs down from me for only supporting v1.0 tags. They're ANCIENT :(
(plus they can hardly hold any info).

The manual states that the stereo supports V2.0 tags, but have not tested it yet.

As anyone bottomed out the id3 tags yet? Do the folder numbers start from 2 and only do even numbers or sometimes odd?
Cheers
