Test Drive

So I went for a test drive in a 1.9 TDi Cupra yesterday and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised!

The drive was good! A lot more powerful than I imagined it would be! A serious amount of torque, especialy in first and second gear! Span the wheels numerous times at roundabouts! :D
Even cruising at 80mph in 6th gear it still pulls quite well! It wasnt too loud either which, with it being a diesel, I was expecting! It was nice to drive, handling was responsive, brakes where sharp and the ride wasnt too firm!

The interior of the car is a bit crap to be honest tho! The seats, steering wheel and gearstick are nice enough but the dashboard, radio and controls need a serious bit of updating!

Anyways I've decided to go for it! Ordered it in black and should have it by the end of the month! :funk:

Black is the best choice mate.

Agree on pretty much all you've said, the test drive sold it to me, was only test diving it because I doubted you could get a diesel hot hatch.

Here I am still with it after 3 years :)

or chrono yellow, don't like the black, far to easy to pick up marks and swirls

good choice on the car, hope you enjoy it and don't forget to come on here and tell us all about it.........................:D
black is the last colour I would go for, never again ggggrrrrrrrr

You think it's quick when standard, imagine what it'll be like when remapped :)

black is DEFINATLY THE BEST COLOUR just an absoloute pain to keep clean and scratch free!!! and stone chips show up so much as the primer is white so scratches ect show up like a saw thumb so if i was to get anouther cupra it would be the grey!

i test drove a few cars when i was looking around and as soon as i drove a lil 1.4ibiza mk4 at work it was perfectly laid out infront of me so i went for a test drive in the cupra 180 and LOVED it and dont plan on selling my car for ages!!

you say its quick enough now id lay alot of money down to bet you will be on here in a couple of months enquiring about the remap

enjoy the car fella!

welcome to the site BTW

Welcome to the dark side, should have bought it in Red

You can get Chrome kits to go around the gear gaitor and around the air vents which really lift the interior. They should be available from your local stealer and if you ask before the car arrives they may fit them.

When I test drove the FR it was the black one and I have to say it was a really nice looking car in black, but I would side with ANT FR and go for a nice Candy White jobby.
