Hi Rob. Was that you I spotted on the M27 westbound J3 at 5.40pm yesterday? I was travelling east bound and was suddenly dazzled by a pair of very shiny black wing mirrors on a yellow LCR. They looked very good, and certainly give the car a unique look. Don't think yellow mirrors would look so good on my black Cupra TDI.

More than likely mate! Was the driver asleep? If so, that was definitely me! :D

I'm on there most days around that sort of time at the moment, so give us a wave :)

Not sure myself Rob, altho I have a feeling it would be one of those things where the more I saw them the more I'd like 'em.

As you said they're not matt plastic as per Poxhall's old Cavaliers (that invariably end up going grey).

I'll keep popping back to have a 2nd / 3rd... look at the pic's. Like I said, think it will grow on me :)

Look at the car as a whole instead of focusing on the mirrors and it 'works' much better. When I first fitted them I wasn't 100% convinced, as I was staring at them thinking... that's not right

But after seeing my car in carparks, or as it's parked on the drive, it definitely works IMO :)

Yes. I will be sure to wave next time I see you. By the way, pictures do not do justice to your mirrors.

Looks good to me - definitely sets your car out from the norm which I like.

You can see that your bonnet doesn't sit level with the wings in the last photo though :p

Cheers Brian :)

And thanks to the rest of you for your comments, good, bad or indifferent. As Rudd says, doing something a bit different is always good, even if it gets mixed reactions :)

Looks ok.

but Rob, you seem to have this yellow stuff all over your paintwork. It's ruining it... ;)

Fair play mate. I think you were right about the black, I don't think there would have been enough contrast between the grey and black to make it work.

Has anyone thought fitting the new mirrors off the VW's with the indicator repeaters in?

Shouldn't be too tricky. The fitting looks the same.
