With the absences of reliable? remaps as anyone tried the various tuning box plug in's that are on the market - I have always gone down the remap route in the past. ??

Superchips have just re released their remap for the 170 pd DPF engine, albeit not with Bluefin, and slightly down on power from the first attempt that they pulled due to problems.

Also this company have a similar bhp increase remap available.

Having said that, I'm no fan of Superchips, and the other link is to a company I know very little about, except that I know one person who has used them before without issues on an Audi A4 pd 130. Either way, I'd part with money to one of those before risking a tuning box. If things get a bit heated, you'd get zip all comeback from the tuning box manufacturer but you just might get some assistance from the tuners.

Nor am I, VERY OVER PRICED for a start the reason I have posted this is due to my regular tuner had problems with my Seimans ECU which he didn't have on the Golf 170 that he had just done- so we halted the upload until we can find more data for the Seat ECU?

Hmm, I remember you from TDI Club don't I, now that I think. I'm sure there was an "OldOiler" there. ;)

Some time since I've been on there.

Yes that was me, haven't been on there for ages - more relevent data on this and briscoda web sites. USA sites their cars seem to be lower powered and troubles with their diesel cetane values ect.
