To be honest I'm a bit apprehensive about Eibach, I've had their springs on my last car (Fiat Stilo) and they made it feel "whallowy" around long fast bends. I've had Spax on my Mk3 Astra, they felt spot on but they were only cheap and I'm not going to treat the FR with the same cheap stuff and I've got Avo IIRC on my Rover Coupe but they're waaaay too hard!

Funny you say that, ive got a mate with a stilo (2.5 i think) and he got Eibach springs and his car is all over the place !!
I think its each to their own really......loads of people can tell you horror stories, but then there are people that can tell you good stories. If you buy real cheap then fair shout I think you would know, but I dont think the average owner on the average road could honestly hand on heart tell the difference between a £600 coilover set and a £900.

Only my opinion !!! [B)]

Sounds like the 2.4 Abarth. Most probably the worst performing car Abarth have ever put their name to, it's a well known fact that the 1.6 outhandles an Abarth on the twisties due to difference in engine weight and the 170bhp from the 2.4 is frankly appalling! Just don't let them hear you say Eibach are poor on the fiatforum.com because they'll hunt you down and burn your cat...

All I really want for the FR+ is to keep the standard ride (or as near as, a bit harder doesn't hurt) but have it sitting a little lower but like I said, I don't know anyone who has coilovers so I don't know what they're like.

Don't really know yet Olaf. Suspension, remap and Cupra R brakes are a definate, possibly projector headlights and a full leather interior depending on funds. Other than that I'm stumped. Still pretty new to the Seat/VW scene so I don't really know what's out there yet. :hide:

Just ordered a set of the Spax RSX and adjustable drop links for my LC was £570.00 inc vat and delivery, from venom so they shoul be here for thurs next week then on the car next wkend!

Just to update you all, i had the Koni FSD's and Eibach springs fitted and i'm very happy. The ride height is perfect, i only get a slight scrape when getting onto my drive and the improvement on handling is unbelievable. So much more direct, gives alot more confidence to take corners at higher speeds with the car being totaly stable. :D

Glad you are happy mate... knew you would be!

The FSD's are awesome.... but back on topic...

The FK Highsports are O.K - but don't expect anything fantastic. I found them to be quite harsh (much harsher than the FSD's I now have) and they actually rusted quite quickly - i had a set on for less than a year and they came off looking like 4-5yrs old.

Make sure you buy them from a reputable company - so that you've got a fall back if you need it. I didn't, and regretted it when they went wrong.

Just remember that the FSD's etc wouldnt keep selling if the cheaper products were just as good - I think i went in thinking that they would be the best out there - and i was soon corrected.

sounds like the usual problem - the LCR has the TT front end - and the ARB connects onto the suspension directly - the LC doesn't have this, so they should fit...

Yup....you got it in one. They assured me they would fit which is really anyoying, but when I called them back they denied making any for the LCR...lol
