Hi Guys.

I've got 2 problems with my Climate Control, the one problem i have had for about a month and the other one i found out about last night.

1. When i put the climate on HI it blows out realy cold air and it doesn't change for the hold journey. and the last couple of week the weather hasn't been the best.

2. When the climate is on at any temperature and i put it into reverse the fans start going quicker, then as soon as i take it out of reverse it goes back to normal.

Has anyone had this problem before, if so how did you solve it? or if it's not a problem that anyone has had do you think it would be a warranty issue?

Thanks in advance

I've never heard of that one before. I'd guess that it's a bad earth somewhere.. I'd start by earthing a piece of cable to the chassis and put it to the earth connection on the back of the climate control panel and see what happens.

Definately sounds like a warranty issue if your car is new enough!

1. Sounds like a temp sensor fault

2. This is normal - the system goes into recirculate mode when reverse gear is engaged to stop you sucking your own exhaust fumes into the car - clever system ;)

wait so the cars climate control swiches to reverse mode when you engage reverse Sweet....

but if ur front wipers are on it and you select reverse dosnt activate the rear wiper?
which is annoying since my girlfriends s reg fiesta does!

To be honest i don't think this is it because i have had the car since the beginning of February and it has never done this before.

I still have warranty on the car until December 2008 so i'm hoping that it will be covered.

Any other ideas? :)

er well every beeza with CC i have been in does it, which is a fair few including all trims (referance, 1.4 sport, fr, cupra etc both before and after facelift too. and it isn't reverse mode mate lol. otherwise it'll be sucking air out of the car  you have a button on the CC controls which activates the recirc instead of suckin fresh air in it blows the exixting air around, easy. simple way to test is to sit there with the CC on nomal then press the button, you should here an identical (louder) blower noise to when your in reverse

I understand what is being said, but my query about this is Why haven't i heard it before.

In the 4 months that i have owned that car i have reversed it with the CC on more than just that time last week.

there are quite a few things that your car does that you will not have noticed yet

try putting your indicator on with ignition and lights off...............

try unlocking your car and not opening a door for 2 mins................

I could go on but it would spoil the fun

I want to know more little tricks that my car hasnt told me about. Ill try the reversing thing lata but ive never noticed anything about the indicators??

well the locking thing is if ya unlock the car and don't open one of the doors is autolock as a security feature.

the indicator thing is if you leave the indicators on it leaves the rear light and front side light on as a sort of parking light, so left side on for the indicator in the left postion and viesa versa, tis cool[B)]

Also if you shut your car with your windows down and use the key rather than the central locking to lock the doors, the windows will go up.

Well it does on mine should do it on everyone elses!!

I hope!
