Alloy wheel refurb for platinum LCR

No, haven't found a spare yet, well I was watching one on ebay last weekend but I was undecided whether to get a new set of alloys (kei force 10's, or Mk4 R32 replicas) or get mine refurbed.

I let the wheel go on ebay, as I was going to get the R32 wheels, then changed my mind,, was a bit gutted as it went for £50 in the end, and it only had a few scuff marks on it - which didn't matter as I would get it refurbed and colored.

So no still on the lookout for a spare.

Lap-tab is in Birmingham, right by spaghetti junction.

I couldn't see shadow chrome as an option when I was there today, its either smoked or flash chrome, mine being black chrome. I got 25% off the total price for 4 wheels, strip and refit (as they were still on the car), and it worked out at just under £75 a wheel.

They are in storage at the moment. Two of them were immaculate, the passenger two had slight marks and the two spares were damaged by me steering into a pavement to avoid a lorry that came across two lanes and tried to crush me. Fortunately the only victims were my wheels.

When I put them in storage one of them fell onto the floor and marked the face. I was too depressed to check them then so I will check them tomorrow and get back to you. I am happy to let them go.

Well as long as it can be refurbed and is not mis-shapen I might be interested in one! :D

Am going to get my standard LCR alloys refurbished at lap-tab but dont know whether to get them coloured at the same time. I know that black or a darker colour looks pretty good on a yellow or red LCR - but not too sure about platinum.

I think the standard silver is a little bit lighter than what the standard wheels were, but that would look ok, but am also thinking about anthracite or maybe flash/smoked chrome.

Any ideas?

Ive had mine refubed mate. i had them diamond cut the face and the inner bit by centre cap, inlayed with range rover grey. not quite platuim gery, but still look good!! it now has the effect of making the spoke parts really stand out from a distance, as now super shinny!! more subtle when up close. wasnt shore before, but am now really happy. just blend and suit the look of the LCR. hope that helps mate. :funk: [B)] :funk:

I may be interested in 2 as well :p Don' t need tyres and not too concerned about cosmetic damage - as long as it is only cosmetic, i.e. surface scratches and small scuffs, don't want big gnarly kirbing scuffs or chunks missing etc. :)

P.S. Had my wheels done in standard "off the shelf" Civic Type R paint... some pics on this thread :)

I'd be very interested to see what that shadow chrome finish looks like on a platinum LCR.

Defo, get some pictures posted!!

I didn't get back till late from my meeting and the storage place was shut - I will go in the morning and report back on the condition of my stock LCR wheels asap! The two with tyres have P-zero rossos on with 4.5mm of tread.
