the drivers footwell and passenger footwell on the drivers side seem to get wet. the passenger side is fine. I have had the drivers door seal replaced but that hasnt solved the problem... any ideas what it could be.
nope there fully closed. I dont have a sunroof either.
Its really weird cause the seats arent wet or the roof, its just the carpet, and if we have had lots of rain it gets really wet to the point if i park on a hill i get a little puddle!!
I had a similar problem just after i bought mine and it turned out to be a dodgy window seal. At some point the windscreen had been out and wasn't replaced properly. Two min job and done under warranty even though it was probably Autoglass or similar who done it!

I was thinking a similar thing - I've heard of the rear quarter lights leaking on the 3 door models before - if they leaked odds are the water would run behind the trim meaning it would be difficult to see where the water was getting in
could be a leaking grommet also i had dodgy on and passenger side of my car was sodden. water from the plasic gutter under windscreen was drianing straight onto a grommet that wasnt on properly

I had tis problem on my toledo it turned out to be from the gasket/seal behide the door trim what i did is pull off the lower door trim then using a 10mm spanner loosened the inner panel filled th gap with sealant put back together and problem solved
i think my list in the common mk4 problems thread is currently at number 9. I do have a number 10 to add which was the coil pack.
most of them are fixed now. Hopefully meeting triple d to see if we can get the passenger door open. The cigarette lighter is not really essential so that can wait. I still have the leak, but have read the thread about the seal behind the door trim - so going to give that a try. Fingers crossed.
