Silly question but here goes.

Did you fit the top mount bearing with black part fitting into bottom of top mount or againt the shocker? seems to fit snug into the top mount both ways..

Would you buy one next lads?

Been thinking of getting a FRS myself...... mmmmmm :) But with IHI Ibiza'a going for £8k mark, scooby's going dirt cheap lately and the FRS £12-£14k its hard to fork out that money when you look at other cars with similar or more power for less cash.

But they do look f**king lovely! And I get discount off parts, so that will always be handy

And Phil did you manage to get hold of the bolts you needed?

hi

just a thing about something i read in your profile, Almera GTis are well slow, 115bhp? your 8v has the same and is abit lighter! however if you was looking for something alot different you should have got a 16v or a 1.8T!

Na my almer was 150bhp, and a nipe little car, i was lwkn 4 a 16valve but this one came up cheap on ebay lol:funk: , if it aint all that ill get rid of it in october, i just want sum it 2 do up over de summer lol. amyxx :p

No offence but fords are too common for my liking, ive always liked things like mk1 golfs, polos and now the ibiza, basically vag hatchbacks!
if i had a bit more money i'd prob buy an s3, but to get it as fast as an ihi ibiza you're talking big bucks, but a nice car, oozes style which imo the focus doesnt, i dunno maybe im getting old lol
Bigger car again and prob an e46 m3, but mega bucks if it goes wrong and even then id want to mod it

I used to like S3's but lately thought they're looking a bit plain. New ones are stunning though. But @ 30k they can stay that way!
E46 M3 on the other hand

If no BT then either one of them or a 350Z for me. Gone off Evo idea now too.

focus's are common but not the RS i know of one locally..(mind you, before i bought my ibiza only one i knew of was Daz's!)

but nah focus chassis is a class act, and the build quality...well compared to the ibiza is laughable, tonnes better.

be cheaper to run and maintain than an M3 too, and i wouldn't have to leave behind the boost!

Funny how I would quite happily mod a car but unless i knew about the cars history IE from on here on from my garage etc I wouldnt touch a modded car incase it was ragged silly.

After spying a local Escort Cossie for 11k, and a Focus RS for 14k, I gotta agree with Stan.

Amz, any more pics??

yeah but if you part with 14k for thr FRS your still going to want to modify it and then your going to be parting with more cash so why not turn the ibiza into a monster for standard FRS money, makes sense to me!

That's what I started to think.... to see over 300bhp you need to fit a gt28rs turbo and then the extra cost for the fitting kit, dream science map.... remap on top for the best performance. And to keep the temps down, that the charge cooler can't handle (even the up rated one) a FMIC needs to be fitted and that’s £1100 alone.

Thats without the exhaust, manifold, decat, leads, plugs, etc....

I would have to agree with dai on that one but still the FRS is lovely! lol

Funny how I would quite happily mod a car but unless i knew about the cars history IE from on here on from my garage etc I wouldnt touch a modded car incase it was ragged silly.

But the other thing you have to think about modded cars for sale. The person spent all that money on the car so you know it's gonna be looked after... Plus try and find a standard "performance" car that hasn't been screwed once or twice before.

Nope I havent. Rob in work offered to let me drive his new skyline. Pretty much a 350z. I'll save my judgement till then. Just another option tbh so many tidy cars out there in that price range
