Stand by front wheel looking towards the back of the car, with the mirrors in the normal "out" position.

The bottom of the cover from the outside working your way in, get a flat thin (non bendy) object and work its way into the gap, between the cover and the rest of it. Angle downwards at first until its in the gap then push the handle of that object down (so it points up inside the cover)

Use your hands/thumbs to push the edge of the cover up and in towards the side window in order to create a bigger gap between the cover and the rest of it to work the thin metal object you've got to get in better. You might even be able to get your fingers in around the far edge bit.

Then just force it off using that object / hands pushing, (support the rest of the mirror from underneath at the same time if you have a spare hand.).

Its horrid trying to do it, because your convinced its going to break it off (it didnt for me - but i cannot promise that yours wont!)

Cheers for that Tam, I've ordered a set of chrome covers for my FR when it arrives at the dealers. They want to charge to fit them and a set of mudflaps, said to forget it and I'll do it myself. What happened to good old customer relations.

Yeah, got chrome ones for me, if you look at the replacement covers, you can see where the bottom clips clip into the mirror housing, the top clips arn't really accessable so its all in the action of getting the bottom ones unclipped, which in turn release the top ones.

Getting em back on is a bit of a pain too!

Just getting some side skirts sprayed for my FR, thought I'd get my mirrors colour coded at the same time as I think the FR mirrors look worse on Luna Grey - looks more like a mis match.

Got the Chrome on mine, do look good, just be careful when you clip the chrome ones on, the lugs on the mirror can easily snap.

Are the new Cupra mirror covers just plain old gloss black???

Just broke two of the lugs off the drivers side chrome mirror cover. Thing is, can get the original covers on and off with little difficulty, but tyring to the get the chrome ones to fit seems to be rather difficult.
