Yeah please mate,

I have found wiseco pistons for £275 + p&p but i dont know if i need pistons?

well as you know the stock head is good for running up to 400bhp, but that is the limit, and I would sure think about uprating internals with running 340-360 as you quoted, as I just would not want to risk it

If anyone is interested in developing an Ibiza GT28rs kit with us, please let me know. We have a kit for the TT/S3/A4, but we want one for the Ibiza.

Im too skint to chuck one on mine at the moment. Cost would be about 3k plus Vat for the development car. We can offer 2 types of GT28RS turbo, the -1 and the -5. The -1 being slightly more laggy, but more top end power and on the TT's gets 350bhp everytime. Even with std intercoolers!!! The -5 kicks in earlier, but isnt as strong top end. That setup always gives 330 to 335 bhp.

I may just go for it next month and do the kit on my car. Then there would be a kit available for the Ibiza at £3995 fitted with a map. There are optional extras.

I would be tempted, that sounds sweet but would still have to get better clutch, diff and internals aswell, it gets expensive and its all the other things that you need that boost up the price......
got a whole load of stuff i want first too (suspension, alloys, dents removed) :(

Matt what bits from gt2x can you keep or would you be selling it on as a package?

Iam wanting it done ASAP. So as soon as all the parts arrive i will get on with it.

h17och: have you mounted your motor back in yet to check the clearence yet?

PhilW : i will let you know mate, i have already had interest in the kit.

Daz Gibbo: i haven't heard of the GTRS in a ibiza yet, but when i did my GT2X i was in talks with Jim at Star performance and he said there was some wok to do to get it to fit, the manifold needs ground down slightly and it also fouls on the gearbox casing iirc. But it is possible.

I think most people will have problems with the manifold on that one bolt on the corner iirc. If you go to a custom TIP i think you can get away with the gearbox problem.

Matt, is there any chance you can PM me with the list of places you have gone for parts? And Hooch, same for the guy regarding the SCAT rods...

Anyone else going for a 1900cc conversion whilst there at it? I'm thinking of picking up a second engine and bench building then come winter do the swap.

Can any one help with the downpipe issues, i rang JBS today and basically sounded like he couldn't be arsed to speak. Said they would need the car there too do it, which would mean trailoring the car there (not going to happen)

Will 2.5" exhaust be ok with 3 " DP for this kit?
