wiper jets

think i havce a problem with me jets for my front wipers the one on the pasanger side only seams to be able to hit the bottom part of the front window no matter how i aim it but the one on the drivers side seams to be able to hit the middle of the window

pritty sure seat cant of made the jets to work in this way or have they?

gona have a pop in to seat and ask what they can do bout it cause its only geting part of the window

unless i drive at speed then the police are gona pull me over and im gona have to explane that im only claning me front window haha

mine spray whole window, infact spray a bit more, I can get the GF with it if she takes 2 long getting into the car

yep sound likes the jets broken on mine then just gona hope they can sort it all out easy and not have to w8 for days for the part to come in lol

have to say my local seat have been class in the past. Me n the parts bloke get on well, never waited more than 2 days for parts and even when he was ill someone sorted me out with the parts. So not all seat dealerships are bad.

I have the same problem on my Leon

tried adjusting jet with a safety pin, no joy

Nah hudson I use the north east garages one (on wawrick street) service only. Have occasionaly bought from patterson think it was only FR grills

hhhhmmmm, I know what you are saying about adjusting them with a pin but mine are like a fan jet sort of thing and spray water like a dog shaking not a fine jet at all

The Mk1 Leon jets are different to the Mk4 Ibiza ones - the Ibiza ones can't be adjusted however I found mines performed better when I noticed a bit of sponge jammed in... pulled that out and the whole window gets covered perfect.

I'm not sure about the Mk2 Leon.... but the Altea and the New Toledo has these new "Fan Jets" so I guess they will have them too.

well the ibiza's do have fan type water gets...and they can be adjusted up and down... and how u get sponge in the jets thats under the bonnet is beyond me lol

The Mk3 Ibiza ones can be adjusted with a needle.

I do it as well.

When washing the car, lift the wipers up and clean right to the bottom of the plastic below the window.
The jets are there and sometimes your washmit/sponge/microfiber cloth or even you hand catches on them and rips them to bits.


I’m sure anyone who washes there car by hand has caught them at some point.
You must use a horrible brush or go through a car wash or a hand car wash.
Or maybe you don’t wash it at all

was gona take it in to see about gettin it sorted this weekend but tuck advantage of the bank holl monday in the pubs haha ow well this week will get it sorted i have had more of a look on friday tuck the jet bit out and back in and farted around with it but had no look just been flying down the a19 when i need to wash my windows lol

found no spunge in it got told not to clean me car with a jet wash cause its probs the reson why my front lights got mousture in them
