These were my Mk1V Golf seats

If they are different then I'm wrong

I'd rather spend about £700 on a set of those than the £500 suggested here for a set of LCR recaros. I'd love to swap my seats for recaros, but I wouldn't pay £500 for the privelege

Sorry for sounding dumb here, but curious to know, does the rear Recaro's clasifiy the car as a 4 seater? There looks to be only 2 seatbelts in the back

Middle section looks a bit uncomfy for someone to be seated, but then someone could squeeze in to that space.

There is a lap belt for the central bench so the car is 'still' a five seater. You're right though it would be a tight squeeze for someone to sit in the middle.

How often do you have five people in the car though?

It's just in senario's like on nights out etc, need 2-3 cars, I end up packing the car with me+4 mates, would be cool to restrict to 4

Also adding an extra mate in the car affects performance :funk:

Something Corrado VR6'y about them Recaro rears

I have RECAROs in mine and yep like you all said they are pretty good, the back support is fantastic......looking at the leather ones though, wish I had them!!!

By the way, RECAROS look cool and are great for driving but if you're planning to have a chick in your car........it's very uncomfortable... :p believe me!

Anyone know of any dealers that are selling the front recaros at a reasonable price yet. As they don't go in the mk2 leon you'd think they would be marking them down a bit by now. I asked Jennings in middlesbrough and they are still quoting £600 a piece.[:@]

Why on earth didn't Seat give the leather recaros as an option?? I mean 2200 for upgrading the seats to things that look SLIGHTLY different. It's a fecking disgrace.

Personally I'd obviously prefer the full LCR recaro option put even at £500 it's not a big enough difference for me.

I'm guessing having the leather options would of further closed the gap between the R32/S3 type...But still, the leathers look awesome. I had a peek inside a new R32 the other day too. Interior was really nicely finished with a fat sat nav, and chunky leather seats :(

The LCR Cloth recaro's were more like -
210LCR including rear Recaro's was £1,200 ish
225LCR front only it was circa £750 ish IIRC

I bet the seats were £2k and the Satnav was £2.5k on a base car of £26k+

Yes, it becomes a 4 seater.

From page 4 in the "Cupra R" owner's manual appendix:

'Warning! When the vehicle has the front Recaro seats installed, a cushion of only two seats is installed in the rear and the vehicle will only be approved for 4 seats'

Ruddmeister's Recaro prices look spot on :)

The October 2002 price list shows the Recaro seat option on the 210 model was £1200.

The front only Recaro option on the 225 model was around £750.

However, these were "factory fitted" options, which are a lot cheaper than "dealer accessories".

For example, if you choose a factory upgrade from 16" alloys to 17" alloys, it would cost around £400. However, if you went to the parts department and asked for a set of 17" alloys, you'd pay around £300 each, with centre caps, & tyres being an additional cost on top of that!

If you think the LCR Recaro's are rare - try finding some Seat Sport front Recaro's (grey with Seat Sport logo) - they were around £600 each! (And apart from the colour & logo, they're the same as the LCR front Recaro's)

This whole issue pissed me off when i bought my LCR.
I asked for the recaro pack when ordering it and was told that was to be done.
But when the car arrived it only had standard ones on but i hadn't seen the recaro ones at the time so i didn't realise, any way later on saw the recaro ones and thought i'd been ripped off so checked the invoice but the they were not on the invoice so i hadn't paid for them when i questioned this they said there was nothing i could do and would have to pay full price for them (which was more than i had originally been quoted for them)

Your interior would look a bit mismatched, 2 leathers in the front, and cloth in the back;)

Only way i would do it, if it was a whole interior change:)

£500 is a good investment, you spend all your time sitting in the seat so they need to be comftorable, and they are not a wasted investment like say an exhaust/remap is, as when you come to sell the car, there will always be someone there to bite your arm off for a swap, meaning you really get the recaros for nothing;)

But for £700 you could buy a set of Mk4 Golf leather recaros front and back. The rear seats from a golf fit in a Leon too so it wouldn't be a mismatch :p
