Not a lot of difference in looks tbh.

Recaro stitching, different headrests and beefier side supports in the front.

Back, totally different, red stitching and 2 bucket seats with a centre foldown armrest and compartment.

Rears are extremely hard to find because it was only ever the 210 model that had them fitted. On the 225, recaro option was front only.

Not got any pics though sorry.

Headrests are different aswell mate, recaro headrest fits into the seat, normal headrest just sits on top:)

:blahblah::roflmao:

pretty nice actually...apparantly more supportive?

The one advantage now is that you should be able to pick up an LCR with them fitted for zero premium over the std interior.

Some larger forum members complained about a narrower seat base and dead legs with the Recaro

Personally I can;t see the difference in the front seats [and I lived with a leather set in a Mk1V Golf Gti for just over a year before moving to the LCR]

I'm a bigger, no wait, fatter guy and the recaros are fine for me,
i love them, got them in the front and back as mine is a 210, just look amazing i think, the fronts look a bit sturdier IMO and the backs are in a league of their own!

Rudd...You never actually had the recaros in your car though did you:doh:

is it Mk4 recaro GTI your basing your experiences on?

Trust me guys there is a hell of a difference, interior looks better with the recaro branding, seats are far comfier, much more lateral support. Headrests look 10x better.

Backs look nice also, 2 very comfy buckets, and the red stitching theme carries on to match the rest of the interior.

210 and 225 seats are exactly the same, 210 had the better option though as it included the rears, 225 did not have this option:)

Recaro car should always fetch more, than non recaro'd. There's just idiot sellers about not realising that someone would happily pay £5-600 for the swap:D

Very good investment, far better than any other 'mod' on the car:)

Stopped selling 210 models Sept 2003 when the 53 model was introduced. Although saying that, there are a few 53 plated 210's around.

If your hellbent on getting a 225, (No difference apart from steering wheel) just try and find an 'idiot' 210 seller who doesn't realise the worth in his recaros and do a swap;)

Not sure if parkers guides and the likes differientiates between trim levels:shrug:

If you were to go through a dealership/trade in, to sell the car, then its highly unlikely salesman would know the difference between the trim levels and then offer bottom dollar for the car.

Thats why before selling a recaro'd car, you should swap them out for standard seats and make a quick £500 in the process:)

I wouldn't have paid £2200 for them when buying new however, but i would pay £500 for a swap:)
