the tube looks right.

the adaptor looks exactly the same as the one ive already got, and definitely doesn't fit the end of the bigger tube.

is this the wrong one, or do i need it at all?

yep adaptor is wrong, thats the standard one. Also before fitting you need to cut out the internals too with a dremmel.

can anyoner take a picture of where they cut the airbox to make the nice sound?

i take it the airbox is where the filter sits?

would u cut the hole in the bottom half of the box or above the filter?

If cutting a hole it would need to be the opposide side to the intake pipe, else air being sucked in wouldn't be filtered (hope this makes sense!).

makes sense - so you would cut it where all the flies and cr*p would end up falling down, once they've been sucked in, and buonce off the underside of the filter.

except not too big a hole, otherwise the hot engine air will get up into the box?

here is a rough picture of what i have done to my intake but i went 1 step further and also plastic welded shut the slot on that is left when the CORRECT front pannel bit is clipped into the hose so no cold air is escaping the whole lot is being pushed and sucked into the airbox :D

ok i guess that will make more sense when i have the plastic in front of me ;)

thats just the inlet part i take it, nothing to do with the filter box?

thats the bit that they sent you that was wrong when you get the cupra 1 you will see. i belt sanded my restrictive flaps off and went as far as i could go on evey edge and also smoothed all the creases off and sealed off (plasic welded some plasic over the gaping slot to make sure no cold air is lost!

can you take a photo of what that maf housing/ airbox is?

and does the remapped to work, mean you've had the remap done specifically for the different sized boxes you've installed?
