My current blades are on their way out and I quite like the idea of converting to the areo style but canna be arsed to change wiper arms etc (if at all possible)They are available in the 18" and 21" we need for our beezas and they look fairly tidy too.

Anyone tried them and let's have your thoughts people!

Shall I be guinea pig come pay day?

Cheers

Excellent, cheers for that Flapper.

Roll on pay day, pretty sure I can away with that including those in my general service! I will report back once they're on.

they look very tidy, modernise the car a bit also.

one of the shop things down the Seatcupra.net topic list was doing these.. but im sure it was wiper arms and all.. others have used ones from newer cars with them as standard like lupo's?

while were on the subject of cleaning windows.. is there any seats/vw's out there fitted with the spray effect windscreen washer rather than the 2 jets.

I bought a set of these last week and fitted them to my mk2. They look a lot better and work very well.

They clip onto the standard wiper arms and take about 2 mins to fit.

Look a lot better than standard wiper blades with all the scaffolding on them.

which is what inspired me to find them a good 18mnths back clicky

yes for the full monty you can use the later arms (lupo?) and the later blades (£££) but for the £30 cost and convenience at the time these were not even a 1/4 of the price of the suggested solution and used original arms

now though there are loads more alternatives out there and even cheaper but agreed the 'full monty' arms and blades do look the dogs

piccie - ill try and get a better one tomorrow

I vote for you being guinea pig :)

Seconded. I bought new wipers only like 5 months ago and already they are starting to be pretty crap. Yesterday at our local SCN meet, I was chatting to Adam1.4 who just fitted some to his mk3 and he couldn't praise them enough.

My wife has them on her Polo (standard), and I have to say they are utter rubbish. Noisy as hell and don't do that good a job. Thought it might be that they were old, but she just had them replaced recently, and they're still rubbish.

Looks aren't everything.

Right.. update!

Ordered from this seller on ebay yesterday - http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/singlewiper

Arrived today.. very impressive service!

Now fitted and working well whilst stationary. I can't test whilst on the move just get as the car is on axle stands waiting for the wheels to come back.

They look nice and tidy too.

I will update further when I get the car moving again but first impressions are good.
