Anybody recognise this throttle body ?

The only part numbers on it are 037 061B and B0 323 and no matter what combination of these numbers I use I still can't find it on ETKA.

Ignore the fact it hasn't got a throttle plate

I really need to know the part number as I need few.

It's 56 mm at the moment but has enough meat in it to be bored out to 62. It bolts straight onto the standard manifold, I think it's from an early Golf or something like that.

the end of the part number sounds right, but it should be *** 037 061B, maybe something like 06A 037 061B would be a number.

What year golf do you think it is from?

037133061B sounds like ABF throttle body

ABF one is smoother than that and the WOT switch is a bit bigger

ABF has huge wedge cast into the bore throat for idle small throttle openings

Seem to be getting somewhere now. 037 133 061B is replaced by 037 133 061F which is then replaced by 037 133 061AP which is used on 88-97 Passats. The throttle pot part number 044 907 385A ties in with what was on the body I have so maybe that's the one.

Maybe you can't see too well from the pics, but it does have a huge wedge in the bore so not much happens until about 30 % throttle.

sounds v.similar to ABF one then.

I bored out an ABF one for a customer car a couple of years back on a KR16v 1900cc motor running ABF injection and DTA management.

you loose progression on part throttle, but nothing nasty driving wise.
