LCR Ride Height Suspension Problem

Can anyone with a standard LCR with standard alloys measure the distance from the middle of the outer wheel arch to the floor please.

Problem.

Car was up on axle stands at the weekend and left overnight.
The next morning when I dropped it back down on the wheels the suspension was 1" higher on the nearside compared to the offside. (On a flat surface)
I'm sure it wasnt like this to start with unless it had settled.

So the car went back up to check everything was straight. Arms and struts looked fine, turrets looked central so I'm wondering has something broken worn or worse.

Any input would be appreciated.

Cheers

Tone.

Hmm... was just wondering because this is what my LCR looked like just after fitting the wheels... looks like it's sitting high (just dropped off the jack - not moved)

And here it is again, obviously after being driven (and after a wash!)... back to "normal" height

I'd say the difference in height before & after was an inch or so...

I could measure it as it is now, but my drive is sloped so it sits a bit higher anyway.

That confirms my suspicions.

Looks like the offside is way lower than that, I would hazard a guess at 5cm between the gaps.

By looking at your pictures I would say the nearside looks about the same ride height as mine.

Its probably even worse when theres just you sitting in it.

How old is the car? It could be a knackered bush on the arm.

some may say lala land....
cars tend to do this when the springs etc have been left to hang loose as it were.
after a while they do tend settle back to normal - i used to have a nightmare with the escort & skirts, would never get trolley underneath when taking wheel off, got my brother to lift an inch, but when came to removing it would slide out with room to spare and repeat
no harm in keeping an eye on it and see if does or doesn't settle. if not, sorry i'm no mechanic, i just drive the darn things

If it's just the driver in the car majority of the time, the off/side will always be a touch lower!
