Has anyone had the proper ipod connector fitted to their car? I have waited since December for one, the first one arrived in February, only to discover it had the wrong connectors. The 2nd one arrived the other week, I went in on Saturday. It was fitted in 2 hours. I paid £140 for it, and as I was leaving they mentioned that they didn't have an ipd with them to enable them to test it. No worries I thought, I have one in the car. So I got in the car, plugged it in, and promtly ordered hubby to turn around and drive back to the garage.
The sound quality was worse than poor. It was barely audible, the interference was attrocious, with a nasty whistling sound, like a radio being tuned in on MW or LW. Then when you put your foot on the accelerator, the whistling noise was deafening.
I then had to wait another hour for it to be dismantled. Still waiting for my money to be returned as no-one had the refund card on them on Saturday.
So, I am considering taking my car to Audi, and having a similar device fitted to the one my boss has had fitted to his Audi A4. Will this work?

I refuse to ring them, as I seem to spend my life on the phone to them.
