that ebay ibiza he states his car only takes £34 to fill up :wtf: and there is NO WAY he can get 400-450miles to that tank !!! the vxr has got alot more power and is more in your face but the ibiza has the potential to be just as quick or even faster ;) and a wolf in sheeps clothing!

personally helen123 id go for the cupra instead of the fr as brakes interior bumpers and mechanicly its more for your money and if you can afford to look at vxr that would be the better option (the cupra ibiza)!

I agree! Either that or get a new TT.

thanks for the advice, I am going for a used fr. Does the fr only come with one key?...I'm wanting to get dark grey.

I always hear people saying do the induction, exhaust, before getting a remap.....but i would assume i can skip all that and just go for a remap right? as the fr already has the potential to acheive higher bhp.

you will obviously get better results from the remap witha turbo back exhaust and an induction kit/pannel filter

i went for remap first
was great no problems. there isnt more tuning potential on an fr you just get more bhp for your money as its de tuned a bit compaired to cupra. both will tune to the same levels if taken all the way. no should come with one remote key and one spare non remote key

seems alrite...
ohh...does the fr come with a full size spare wheel...because i was considering the corsa vxr and that doesn't have a spare wheel. Im test driving the astra vxr on mon-hehehe..can;t wait

that car is near me costs 43 quid to fill up on v power and to be honest as standard if driven like the should will see 300 miles tops out of a tank. i se about 220 miles to a tank now lol. it comes with a full size steel spare. only the cupra comes with spare alloy due to size of front calipers

I had the same problem as you about a month ago. Looked at both f/r's and cupra's. Got the cupra as its got so much more for your cash, 17"alloys, cupra interior and those massive 4 pot brakes. The bumpers are also different. If you can get a corsa vrx then you can get a mint low mileage cupra. Found mind for a bargain price of £9,250.. Thats for a 2005reg with only 7k on the clock. With the money you save you could have it thrashing a vrx..:D

The f/r are a great car and can be tuned just the same, but it would cost a fortune to bring everything else up to cupra spec...up to you, your cash...[B)]

As for tuning, i was very lucky, as the previous owner spotted my car on here, and its got a REVO re-map fitted already..Just got to fit the forge 007 d/v and im done, until I change the exhaust. V quick with re-map..
