Before anybody moans about there being a guide Ive read it an although it gives u basic idea of what to do im assuming there are images missing or something there that isnt now.

Anyways so far ive removed the plastic stuff near the drivers footwell, Ive removed the clutch switch, now im trying to get the "safety clip" off from the end of the axel bit. Anybody have any ideas how to remove this? Its a kinda squarish metal thing over which appears to be a rounded end bit on the axel?

Also is it worth removing the drivers seat is it easy and how?

The clips just push out with a screwdriver (well they did for me anyway) , there's no need to remove th seat as thats just making more work for yourself! ;)

Best method for getting the spring back in (i think) is to crush the spring up with 2 cable ties at opposite sides, offer into place, push the pedal up to it and then snip the cable ties. Make sure your head is out of the way though!!

Hope this helps

at 100k id think it probably has been replaced..

I was thinking that i was lucky for it not to happen and then just on the way back to work at lunch and the pedal went to the floor :(

Seems stupid that it happens to every car but seat wont admit its a problem!!
