Best of luck to Liam this weekend.

He's doing ok, had a good first race at Rockingham. But got into a tangle in the second race which resulted in the car getting a bit mangled. He's not qualified too well for Thruxton, though he also doesn't have Huffy to help him with his setup and preperation this weekend. But this season was always about gaining experience.

But considering the usual carnage so far. If he keeps his nose clean he'll find himself in the points anyway.

SCN sticker was no more as you'll see below after Race 2 Rockingham

He did ok today, he brought the car home in both races so that's always the most important thing. Consistancy, he can only improve with experience.

Liam did better than Huffy did today at Zandvoort. It wasn't a fruitful weekend for Rob sadly. :(

Seemed to go straight on, but not sure if he was helped off the circuit to be honest.

Shame too as it was a strong weekend for his team-mates, no reason why he shouldn't of been up in the mix too. But that's racing!!

Found out, what happened to Rob today at Zandvoort. In Race 1 he had clashed with Andy Priaulx just before the Audi Esses. It broke his steering so he went straight on into the tyres.

Race 2 he battled from the back to finish 13th. He was on for good 8th position in Race 1 though which would of put him in contention for Race 2. :(

Thanks for the support, Liam did OK at Thruxton he found the track realy difficult but done as Rob asked and that was finish both races and not to worry about positions.
Two weeks ago Liam had his first look at Thruxton and was gobsmacked at how quick it was and destroyed all 4 of his test tyres in the process so this time he kept off the curbs and everyone else used all the kerb we expected many to be out with punctures etc but it never happened!
I spoke with Seat this morning to ask if different tyres were used yesterday to be told no? So why did we destroy 4 in 40 minutes at the official test?
Its a huge learning curve for Liam and sadly will be much the same at Croft as we have never been there either.
Wait till we get back to Snett,Brands and Donny then you will see Liam hopefully at his best!

He did really well, I note his lap times tumbled as the weekend went on too. So you can't ask for much more, he's improving all the time. Consistent results are what to aim for. Because you can't win the race if you don't finish the race.

I know the BTCC cars were running a different compound of tyre, they mentioned it several times during the day's commentary on TV. As the speeds are so high at Thruxton they were worried about tyre failures. Plato had a deflation during free practice.

As the lap-times are so close to the tourers, I can't see why they were not using a similar compound on the Cupra championship cars??
