My day at the races.....

So today I decided to go to the BTCC in Thruxton to watch some real racing. Unfortunately the communication from both forums was pretty bad regarding this meet, and all of my local regulars couldn't come either, but because I had pre-ordered the tickets I went anyway. And what a DAY . Can't think of a better way of testing out my new camera to the limits ( that I got for my birthday a week ago), then by taking 1100 photos of fast moving cars. Anyways, here is the link to some of my photos, and below are some teasers.

Well originally I was planing on getting a digital SLR like the Canon EOS 350D. But then I realised I don't have £400 spare so I got myself a Canon Powershot S3 IS for half the price. It's not an SLR but probably closest thing to it. 12x optical zoom plus image stabilizer ain't bad either.

i use the 350d, i was wondering if you were using the 400d as the results are great. and i agree, IS is gods gift to rubbish photographers (like me! )

i often go to silverstone for the f1, but you cant get close to the action, and they take your eyes out for the priviledge. i think now ill give croft a go in june. i know its not exactly in your back yard but have you ever been there?
