Pop Pop Bang am I a chav?

I have a full cat back stainless exhaust made by Janspeed, and i am very happy with it, its nice and quiet around town and then it screams if you boot it.

However, my friend has a magnex 6x9 and his pops and bangs everynow and again, like a disobediant rally slag!

I love this popping and i wanted to know if a decat might provoke it, or what else might?

I cant really be arsed with a decat, as i have heard they dont help with BHP at all... a lot of effort taking it out and replacing it for MOTs etc. Up untill now all my mods have been fairly performance focussed, i know its a bit chavy, slate me if you want...

Any ideas?

Mine pops and bangs when I really thrash it - so all the time when I'm on track and occasionally on the public road. I've got a supersprint cat back with no centre silencer.

I'm guessing getting the engine and exhaust nice and hot and then giving it lots of revs???

Alternatively I'm sure you can probably get an 'exhaust pop and bang' machine on eBay. Someone told me that Demon Tweaks even sell a speaker system that makes a dump valve noise so you can fit it to a N/A car and still get the 'pisshhh' sound.

get someone to **** up the fueling so you only get circa 150 miles to a tank - you should see flames too

as stu said the fuelong will sort it had this on mt mk 1 clio 16v sounded like a rally slag most of the time ..also had some nice flames

my 8v did it something cronic down the revs and i loved it everytime .. getting an exhaust for the valver, kinda hoping for the same thing

mk3 20vt one does it if you get the overrun just right

mine has a scorpion mk2 golf cat back system on it, pops when its revs down, can make it bang to. A Decat will make it rasp, as on my polo i hate a straight through exhaust, no cat or middle box, all stainless and then back box, was loud as fook, and popped flames to

i'm gna get a decat made for my valver next week and make it interchangeable with the cat for the MOT. Also take out the middle box. The decat can add power too

and you're not a dirty chav, cos i love the popping sound lol

My car is runnin extremly rich with a Fuel Pressure Regulator not plugged in.

It pops after a rag, put i pay in fuel and i have flat spots in the rev range, it also feels slower.

ive got a resistor on mine and it leaves a bit of extra fuel in the system, which explodes and causes BBIIGG flames out the exhaust...

So some peoples 16vers pop, some dont, Chris let me know how yours ends up, it seems no1 really has a straight answer?
I am loving the flamer kit though, but the very word kit is chav, i would potentially provoke, but not promote!

Shame, just think when a girl says (obviously curvy and hot, maybee blonde, 5'9?); 'did i see some flames come up at me then? HOW EXCITING!'

you have two options the first is to say...

'yeah i have a spark plug in my exhaust' - to which the girl puts her cloths back on, mops herself up and promptly leaves.

the second is to say...

'maybee...its a real beast... its just so uber rally slagish that you have to just let her rip'

Just me or is option two much better?
