Hi All, thanks for the comments,

Been a bit busy last two days with work/ girlfriends birthday lol but i'm off work today so i will go and take som piccy's although i wont be able to do a before and after but i'm sure you guys will be able to tell the dif.

Hi Mate,

Will get the pics up for you later.

The ducting doesn seal straight onto the pipe so i dont think i will have a problem it just stops the air intake just getting warm air from by the radiator, my bro has a carbonio on his mk4 golf and he hasnt had any probs yet and on that the air filer is in the bumper.

Yea my poor old mate Charles but yea he is using it as an excuse for a bigger turbo which will be fun for him.

Thanks all

p.s Best thing of all my bro has a 180 golf mk4 aniversary and he is running about 200bhp booked in for his re-map on may 21st but at the moment i can beat him where as before he map the used to kill me hahaha

As said above, I'd be concerned about hitting a deep puddle or a flooded lane with the intake that low down. Engine's don't much like trying to compress a cylinder full of water! :(

This has been a long debated subject, and i was assured by awesome GTi who supplied my Carbonio CAI that you would have to submerge the whole filter in the water and be revving hard to suck water up causing the engine to hydrolock. so unless your going to be driving through lakes im sure you will be fine, i stil try to doge puddles just to be on the safe side but ive had it over 7 months with no issues.

i just got a custom induction kit made where the air filter is actually level with the bottom of the engine at the front. went through a huge puddle the other day and the filter didnt even get wet. and im running it with no plasticy guardy thingies on the bottom of the car...

i would get the plastioc gards on they stop the engine getting a mess and also improve aerodynamics. how close to the engine is your filer? as im not sure you will be getting the coldest air there, a good idea if your still concerned about the water is leave it how it is but run some ducting from behind the bumper and point it at the filter to get constant cold air.

No i didn't  it was crap  naah i must admit at heart i am a petrol head and revving round to 6000rpm was a nice feeling and having a loud exhaust that spits flames when you change gear at high revs and pops and bangs when coming down the gears was a bloody great feeling, not to mention the woosh of the DV/Carbonio but you also didnt mention what you said when you got out mine something like "oh my god that thing pulls" hahaha
