after the old downpipe was out the new one is like a p*ick in a bucket so is very very easy to get in and out..

nigel at blueflame told me it took them 3 hrs to get the OEM one out and as i have never seen them do one i only have his word for it.

i couldnt agree more about doing it on axle stands and that is why i was trying to warn people so they didnt make the same mistakes i did.

Doen mine last night, 2 poster ramp and a hoist, 2.5hrs later and it was done, subframe dropper, steering rack disconected, was a bugger to get the downpipe off, still doesnt sit perfect at the rear seems to sit a bit over to the passenger side but theres no more room at drivers side in the rear cut out for it! oh and because of how wide it is, i get a bit of rattle from underneath, need to see what its touchin, maybe tomorrow, but the results - PERFECT! instant power gain, sit with my mates CTR now side by side, before he used to pull 3 or 4 car lenths across a 1 mile strech! LOVE IT!

just to warn you. ive just spoke to a very clever chappie at APS in Brackley about sorting out my tyre wear and my pulling to the left trick.... he said there are two ways of adjusting the camber on Leons.....

the first way is to undo the 3 16mm bolts on the ball joint and move that but that way you would get bump steer as you have to alter the trackrod end so much.

the second way which is recommended, is to undo the subframe and move it the desired way..

i just hope you havent altered your tracking too much by dropping the subframe.. might be worth a check.

i've been looking for a decent company with a Beissbarth who know what theyre doing for a while now and these definatley seem to know their stuff. i'll let you know if they sort the problem.

Will be interesting to see if Stealth can eliminate the pulling on mine when they put the subframe back up when my exhaust adn ARB's go on!

agreed... I had 4 wheel laser alignment done after BBT fitted my coilovers, they told me to tell whoever did it that they need to adjust the subframe to compensate.

I got it dont at elite in kent

thus i forgot to say... if you are fitting yor BF system yourself and you are going to lower the subframe yourself, make sure you put it back exactly how it was or get it checked over by a pro! :)

hope they've got a good book, war and peace should be a good read while your waiting!

lol

if you ever do go to storm, dont try to walk into the village of Aldermaston from storm, there is no path to walk on, and you will die, as others have done over the months as its one of the most dangerous roads to try and walk along!

anyway back on track

funnily enough, i went there this morning to order them, and pick up my door seal and de-lock barrel blank. should be coming tuesday apparantly.

the parts guy is even going to bring them through to richard alexander leeds for me, as it's closer (it's a VW dealership, though)

just need to get back on to blueflame to arrange fitting, plus 'development' ;)

i had loads of other bits i need fitting too - mainly a full set of forge hoses [B)]
