Had the Valeo wipers on the car since beginning of January, and the yellow wear indicator / warning triangle is starting to show  They still work as well as they did out of the packet... any idea how much longer they're going to last? TBH, 4 months is pretty poor, considering blades normally last over a year :(

Mine have been on since September and over the past couple of weeks the warning triangles have gone from black to bright yellow.

I don't know if it's related to length of exposure or number of wipes, but mine seem to have lasted longer than yours.

No noticeable decrease in performance though. There's bound to be plenty of tolerance in the "life" of these things.

I'd keep using 'em until you start getting smears or missed bits (just like most people do with any wipers - don't they?)

Same here with the indicators but mine are about 95% still functional. I wash and clean mine regularly and coat them in Rain-X. They don't smear at all with that combo. Might see if I can pop the indicators off

They are wear indicators, they don't necessarily mean that the wipers are shot and need binning. They are just there to remind you that they have been on for a set period of time. My normal Valeos were on for a year, half of which yellow before they wore out.

where do you get these from cheap nowadays?

they dont have any for the leon. but the rear wiper is a must

anyone bought off ebay they would recomend

go into the vw golf mk4 section and they are in there

as far as i have been told the golf mk4 ones will fit the leons.. i havent tried this yet tho

What on earth are you on about?
If you look at the first post in this thread, the link is there. The wipers we are talking about are still available at the same price.

Ive got these fitted and for the price there great. Only problem is my passanger side one wont sit 100% on the screen so misses the first bit in the corner. No big deal but i think when they go i will get the mk4 golf arms etc as they really hide them out of the way
