Well I have only had the car 6 or so months and for the first time in my 18 years of driving I had to make an insurance claim :(

Story goes, travelling home from work when went round sharp corner and discovered on the bend a lump of concerte in the road, I managed to avoid it but it went under the centre of the car and a knock could be heard underneath but thought i'd got away with it however 1/2 mile later oil light came on then off, 1 mile further on car cuts out oil light on clunk from engine the end. In that short time I had lost all of my engine oil as the sump had been damaged. Quote for rebuild £2500 so insurers have written it off just awaiting my valuation, bet that will be crud.

So if you offered V337 UNV check it's got a new engine in it ;)

Anyway I have two bits for sale if anyone is interested don't have enough posts for the for sale section:(

1 x rear reflective/brake light unit (the one strapped to the boot) this was purchased from this forum to replace the cracked one I had on my now totalled tolly. £30 posted can send pics.

A Set of car mats for the tolly which fits the clips on drivers and passenger footwells. Good condition minimal use, again can provide pics £10 + postage. - SOLD TO v5er

you're probably right - it won't be a good valuation

on the plus side, you can buy another one for not very much these days too!

Hi, sorry to hear about your loss. It's good that you weren't physically hurt and u will get something back.

Can you email me pics of the mats?

Also where are u based? I'm in London.

Cheers

Beat me to it!

If v5er doesn't fancy the mats, I'd probably be interested.

Sorry to hear about the car BTW.

I'm in Mid Norfolk or Norwich where I work.

I'll sort a pic out later they are basically plain black.

Don't think I'll be getting another one as I previously had a Subaru and anchor after something with a bit more poke and less weight although won't be a scoob again as their getting a bad reputation and easily affordable by chavs :(

Don't get me wrong was a brilliant car just not as exciting as I had hoped.

If anyone wants to buy it let me know and I'll ask my insurers had a few marks on the body work which is why I only paid £2100 for it but with 50k on the clock not that that means much now though :(

Well I be bu99ered... Have been offered £3500 by my insurers but I only paid £2100 for it as it had a few marks on the body work. Now either the esitimator had the wrong car or upped the offer due to poor management of my claim, even though it's only been 3 and a bit weeks since the accident. Parkers have it at £2900 as a private good sale and 3,335 at a Franchise dealers.

My faith in car insurance has returned. :) Lets see if their true to their word before I go out and buy a pint.
