Hey all,

What could cause more/longer turbo lag.... other than my imagination?

Just recently my car feels like it needs more revs to pull away from a standstill, but also like the turbo takes longer to spool...

I still hit the same boost level (circa 20psi), it holds the boost for the same length of time, and the car has no errors on VAG-COM, and still produces the same BHP figures on an RR???

I can't think of what would cause it.... and i can't blame a boost leak or similar because it still hits and holds the same levels???

Any ideas?

Cheers

i will give the usual answers on here...have you checked:

Forge DV - needs a service?

N75 valve playing up?

and the old favourite of mine - MAF?

I'd have suspected a dodge MAF to show on the RR results - ie, I'd be down on power.

Bearing in mind that the last 3 RR's have all been within 8bhp of each other, I'd say that the MAF is fine.

Forge DV spring has been working fine for ages - but it's worth a check i suppose!

I'll check the DV over when i can.
Any other suggestions greatly received :)

lol - well i'm not to your standard of MAF killing........ so i don't expect to have to do it often :D

I really should - but it's just the effort of getting laptop to car, driving around like a pillock trying to do some logging.

lol - doubt it - although the new 100mm cold air feed to my smoothed airbox COULD have taken something in

Seriously doubt it - but yep - i'll check that one too.

Can someone remind me what they think i should log, and which blocks they are in?

I had a chart/list here somewhere, but i can't seem to find it anywhere

003 and 020, then 115 and 031, then 118 and 032.
This gives you, airflow, actual timing, timing pull, requested boost, actual boost, target air fuel, actual airfuel, n75 duty, inlet temp, actual boost, and then finally fuel trims.
