I'm 37 and drive the FR TDi as a my work vehicle. However after a long trip my back feels like it's 73!

My Dad bought my Mk1 Cupra TDi and he's close to retiring.

43 - no problem. The comfy shoes can wait.

Up to last month I owned a Cupra R and then traded it in for the Fr Tdi and i'm the new oldest at aged 46 :) , so I would say that you are never too old to have fun cars. And I hardly consider myself as old at 46 anyway.

Why should you start to think of yourself as being in the realm of 'old man cars'. life is for living and if driving smart looking motors gives you a buzz then so be it.

Would rather be accused of having a mid life crisis driving a good looking car than making the trek to the office everyday in a sterile looking base model.

I am 31 and have 2 kids, I used to drive a passat which many class as an old mans car but who cares what people think.

If you like it buy it!

Nothing wrong with diesel simon, if you like wearing ear plugs and slippers ;-)

I must be the ''oldest'' 27 year old FR tdi driver, because at the weekends when its dry i drive a 1924 Austin Seven. Doubling the clutch is the future......or maybe not

Er, it's a 5 door hatchback and a diesel one at that :D If you were 70 you wouldn't be too old. Granted, VAG marketing types would prefer to see you in a Skoda.

Im 25 but look younger, always great getting out the car with a hoodie on and wrecked jeans if ive been doing some mucky car jobs. Im sure people think ive knicked it. Cant win my last car was a 5 door civic which got me the granda car comments.

If you stuck some fast and furious stickers on it and put a clarion sticker on the back window that would be a mid life crisis. To really make them right you could duck out under lambo doors one morning. "mid life crisis? who me"

Its a fresh looking car that suit every age group.

I think driving SEATs, especially us passionate bunch, is more about our personalities sometimes rather than anything else.

I've driven SEATs for just short of ten years now and even managed to convert my husband. We'll be driving them for many years to come for lots of reasons.

Opinions are like assholes.......everybody has one !

I am 44 and have a chrono yellow FR and don't give a stuff what anyone thinks. I had a Ovni yellow Cupra previously.

I also go to rock concerts and wear jeans and rock t-shirts most of the time and again couldn't care what anyone thinks.

Is it right to conform to a stereotype ???? I think not.
