DAB radio SD card

Hi, I have an Ibiza DAB edition but I cant get the SD card to work. The SD card I'm using is a Sandisk 2Gb and I have tried formatting the card in the radio as previous threads on the subject have suggested. I have also tried it with just one track with a short file name, but it still wont work.

Has anyone experienced the same problem or is anyone using the same SD card without any problems?

Hi,

I have an Ibiza DAB and the SD card works well!

If it has formatted OK in the radio then perhaps the files you are using are not compatible with the stereo; it only plays MP3 files.

You could also try putting another smaller sized SD card in the stereo to see if this has the same problem.

I have just tried smaller 512Mb SD card and it seems to work fine. Does anyone know why the larger SD doesn't work?
Has anyone used a larger SD card, if so which make?

2gb card may not work as may use a new form of compression that the stereo cannot understand, am only guessing as do not have the car myself but this is a frequent problem for digital camera users,

check if there is a way of flashing the firmware for the stereo to enable it to take larger cards but suspect you will be limited to probably 1gb cards

by the way some companies sell 2gb cards but they are 2x 1gb in the one card with a switch to enable older systems to have larger storage (sony did this with their memory sticks to get a 256mb card for their really old camera's)

Yep that makes sense, I'll keep checking the Blaupunkt website for updates.
