you aint gonna be getting great 0-60 times in a front wheel drive car,to get under 6 secs is pushing it!i reackon, stg 1 revo remap, you could knock a second off the standard, with stg 2 revo, maybe the low 6's.its all about the mid range power!

mk3 ibiza cupra. 256bhp & 282lbs ft of torque, decent tyres, decent surface, perfect launch.

ignore the other times, i started breaking after 60mph, hence the 1/8 mile time etc being off.

Is this G-tech thing accelerometer based as I dont trust those figures from a k03s car at all.

an example of a 970kg car with k03s, chipped up as much as you can, 220bhp/250lb (real power) on soft toyo R888 rubbber with proper GPS V-Box timing gear for magazine shoot. 5.4sec 0-60

very much agree high power does'nt neccessarily make for lower 0-60 as traction is significant issue. Factor in some tyres made to grip however and there's time to be had. eg. James Hodsons mk2 Golf, IHI which did 4.2s 0-60 from 380bhp and very light car.

ibiza on k03s just is'nt going to get this.

accelerometer devices are very much influenced by inputed vehicle weight (ibiza's aint their book weight), tilt factors and the like.

I have Racelogic V-Box myself, not done much with it, but have seen 8.7sec to 100mph on it whilst playing on way back from Combe last track day. GPS logged timing I will believe, acceleromter type I wont. (too susceptable to user inputting inaccurate info & settings)

Are you saying that you belive it is not possible for a k03s turbo'd engine to put out more than 220bhp and 250lfb.

I am saying I dont believe the times.
take it to a happy dyno and yea, I too have got those results from jans lupo..... but they are not realistic figures on more accurate dyno's. Just clicked on your dyno sig and power of 230-240 to 7k rpm from k03s  (what other mods on there?)

The timing gear used is what I question as accurate.

Not quite 230-240bhp to 7k rpm but im happy. I was pleasantly surprised at the figures as the dyno it was tested on is considered as the most accurate in Northern Ireland and I'm sure some of the NI members will back me up on this. I also have hit 222bhp on the same RR but after alot of tweaking and after adding water/methanol and 5 degree advance of the timing it made the results in my Sig.

Back to the times IMO low 5 seconds 0-60 is optimistic at best
but i reckon i could scrape into the 5,s with a perfect start

well how accurate is vagcom timing? by logging wheel speed and using the time stamp? as I hit 100km/h in 6.1s with pretty much just a remap. whether or not i could break into 5s or not now I dunno

thats good to hear, looking back on the log i hit 155km/h in 13s which is about 95mph...so it seems hardly optimistic either since i hit 91mph in 15s at santa pod standard

vag-com is as accurate as the time slot on logging, baud rate etc, but not to forget it presumes rolling radius of wheels are std as its pickups are abs sensors.

I'll stick with GPS timing gear from Racelogic myself. Accurate as hell and datalogs a whole heap of parameters. (inc position for lap times etc)
