how easy were they to fit and what was the total cost. i want to do this but i dont want to spend loads just for new bumpers when mine arent broke.
or i could just paint the black strips
Not sure on costs etc etc BUT..... if you where to colour code the inserts - Make sure you get the primed trim inserts, you can just spray the original ones but the paint will peel off, the inserts are not meant to be painted. Hence change them for the pre-primed ones.. this is what I did, along with the door trims...
bumpers were 70 for back 140 for front both secvond hand but in good condition, side skirts were about 180 new from stealer with all the fixtures and fittings, you will also need bumper guides and the wheel arch extensions , i also needed the grills they cost me 75 ish but that included all the grills and the radiator panel that has the 2 side grills fixed to it ...
all in all about 550 of the top of my head ..
and then off course the spraying....
and also the price of new kuckles and replace skin on the back of your hands ...lol
Skirts need to be fitted, I think I get away with it on mine due to having mud flaps???!!!! it breaks the line directly behind the wheel...
17" look better..... if you come accross a set of 18" think about them.... I waited and waited, for my 18" glad I did..
Why bother modifying anything on a car then? Why bother chipping a Cupra, why not just buy a Cupra R? It's personal taste and some people are happier modifying their cars than changing them just for the same of new bumpers.
