Hi,

I currently use Mer shampoo and Mer wax to wash my car with but fancy a change and was wondering what would be a good buy...

I'm not looking to spend £100's but would like something that will produce good results. I also liked the idea of having a wax that combines a polish, sealant, and wax as the thought of having to polish for hours and hours intimidates me somewhat.

What would be the best products to buy?

I own a dark grey car BTW

Cheers

You cant go wrong with Meguiars Gold class shampoo, Ive used various shampoo's and still like the Megs one

As for the combined sealant/wax i suggest Poorboys polish with sealant topped up with a coat of Nattys Paste wax.

You can get an "All in One" product called "Klasse AIO" Not heard many reviews on it tho...

You cant go wrong with the Megs shampoo, the NXT is very good value for money.

Wax wise, mmm so many to choose from, but as said already Nattys blue is a great Carnuaba wax for darker colours, or for a really long lasting shine & protection you could opt for Collinite 915.

KLASSE twins are good, the more you apply the sealant glaze, the deeper & wetter the shine.

Thanks for all your help

I might try the following....

Poorboys slick n suds shampoo
Poorboy's Polish with Sealant All-In-One
Nattys Paste wax

Do you think these products will work well together and where is the best place to buy them from?

Cheers

Any ideas how many weeks of protection this will give me (i.e. How many times will I need to apply the polish + Sealant and wax a year)?

Would you say Poorboys products are better than AG?

How longs a bit of string, I apply wax every 3-4 weeks & quick detailing in the weeks between.

I myself would say their range is better, more suited to the keener cleaner, AG is more general stuff, well the public stuf sold that is.
