they are **** but there aint anything a great deal quicker for the same sort of money/ tuning potential that ticks all the boxes the ibiza does

for the majority the things that go wrong aint bad, infact very minor things that can make it seem like its the end of the world

I think this forum is testament to the fact people do enjoy them and they are good cars. If they were that bad, no one would ever come here.

People only moan when somethings wrong anyway, not many people voice an opinion when things are working fine.

Very few marques are any different when it comes to problems, many cars more expensive and prestigious suffer as much from friday car syndrome.

had mine 3 years now and dont want to ever get rid of it, yeah had my fair share of problems, but mostly only small things! the usual small things too, coil packs, n75 and maf's.
only bad thing was water pump which caused head gasket to go.

but i still love the cupra!

I wasnt to aware of seats untill a friend of mine brought a ibiza - so be it there are problems - but they have been minor issues (for me anyway) - I was looking for a car that was different as all i ever see on the roads BMW, CTR, Skylines, mercedes. etc -

Yeah they are complete w**k, always going wrong. never again will i buy seat crap.

Oh Mini's are crap too you should see the lists of problems on the mini forum, never buy mini again..........

Oh Fiats atre crap, yeah you should see the problems on the forum,,,,, absoloute shite...

oh Fords are crap, yeah never gonne buy one of them again, you should see the faults listed on the forum......

Do you see a trend here, every forum has lists of problems with each car they represent. and if Ibizas were so crap, why the hell do they hold their money so well? nothing wrong with what i have seen over the years so stop generalising with crap and unfounded statements.

spot on. i thought of every possible option, but the ibiza couldn't be beaten for the money in terms of looks, comfort, tuning potential, lovely interior, newish car etc

Its bargain basement thrills with these things. Yep they aint the greatest of build quality compared to the vw's, the paint fades if you have yellow, Your maf sensor goes couple of times a year. Ive had plenty of problems with mine but, for the 5mins it works properly its fantastic and i love it.

I think also with the turbo cars they are more tempremental than your n/a hot hatches. I dont just think its a seat thing, any one I know thats ever had/got turbo cars are always moaning about something going wrong.

The more that goes wrong the more you learn from it I feel. I love the Ibiza, it does piss me off when it goes wrong, it does get on my tits because the drivers seat squaeks all the time but overall the fun of it outweighs the negatives:)
