Sorry I meant the cars in the vids have they had a turbo back Blueflame fitted ? im getting a cat back and wondered if there was much difference in sound

Yes, Both Empi5's car and mine are turbo back with 100 cell race cats. Phils has an LCR dp, mine an LC.

A normal Cat is quite a silencer, it's surprising how much difference there is.

In answer to the motorway question, at high European cruising speeds it's easy to talk and hear at normal volumes. My system doesn't drone, but there is a distinct background note. The difference always come when you hit the loud pedal, then it's lovely. I'm still guilty of turning the radio off to listen 18 months after fitting. :funk:

Hi folks,
might seem like a daft question, but i now believe i have the blueflame exhaust on my newly bought cupra r, was wondering if its possible to add something to it so that its not quite as loud, as soon as i go beyond 30 it sounds like a jet fighter, which is good at times, but can be a bit tedious everyday when im going to work and just want to overtake someone without the whole motorway knowing about it.

thanks for any replies

I'm in the same boat, the sports cat doesn't help noise but the biggest culprit is the large bore pipe work. You can't have the penny and the bun. Before i had the BF sytem i had a custom 3 inch system with only a small back box and no silencer, the noise pissed me off so i went BF because it had a center silencer and a larger back box. I was so gutted as after it was fitted it was louder than the previous system, maybe because its a more free flowing cat.

YOur looking at £525 best price outside the group buy, but have seen on Ebay they are now going for £595 brand new from the factory..sooo

Group buy on here....what was it, i have not looked for ages, but about £480ish or something...im sure some one will correct me.

LCR Turbo-back - £414.89 +vat = £487.50

Now that is a fooooking good price!!!!!!!! You wil NEVER beat that on your own mate, in reality your saving money, not spending it ;)

Blue flame seem to vary thier prices quite a bit for the LCR turbo back exhaust, I bought one the last time they listed them on ebay for £480 and that was a second chance offer, there were other people who paid less than i did, the guy who won the auction ended up paying nearly £600.

Sorry to hear that mate. That sucks! Does it sound like stones?? Have i tried lightly hitting the back box with ur hand to see if you can replicate the problem??

Or take it off and shake it down?

Off topic :: If somone anoys you put stones int here exhaust to get back at them

Its not stones mate (trust me), its a metallic rattle sound, Blue Flame basically weren't intrested....so all you potential Blue Flame buyers beware...........

However, it does look and sound good and fits perfectly, but it was fitted at JKM, so thats probably why........:funk:

Na, JKM fitted it just right dude, its not rubbing or banging on anything, its the tail pipe, something is loose which is making a rattle.........trust me if u heard it you would know what I mean.......I've got used to it now, so doesnt worry me..lol :)
