hey guys. Just picked it up. Absolutely love it!! It's an 05 plate, done 18k miles and is in spot on condition all round. Cost me £6900 but had a full tank of diesel in and some new seat mats & goodies. Not bad considering all the 03 plates i've been looking at on forecourts have been around the same place.

My insurance was costing £1900 third party fire and theft for me and my twin bro on a 1.4 polo, it needs renewing in july and they've swapped us accross to fully comp on the new car for £70.00 - which i didn't find bad at all.

Really looking forward to having a good drive of it in the light tomorow.

Haha even better - just found out the PD100 comes with a two year warranty, which means its just ran out, so bring on the re-map and extra bhp!! ;)

All good fella glad you're happy with it. Remap has to be done, standard! And some rims, I have the same on mine and I'm afraid they have to go.

Diesels totaly new to me, looking forward to driving one though, only heard good things about the fuel economy and performance from newer tdi cars.

Had an '03 Toyota Celica VVTi before my Ibiza PD130 and I am well impressed with the diesel, it's definately got alot more usable power than my Celica had. Going to be a handful when its remapped, get good mpg as well so am sure you will get even better. Be warned, with a heavy foot it drops to low 40's

dont worry bout mpg! ive got a 130 well actually 142bhp with the exhaust and it only sees 40mpg on the motorway lol. i luv the torque although it makes it feel faster than it actually is  but dont forget to change at 4k rpm! :D

14 bhp from an exhaust, or are vag being conservative with the 130 bhp that they say they are??

Most PD130 have a concervative figure on standard bhp. Some have even come out at 145 bhp standard before now.

Yours must not be heavy enough, ive seen 19.6mpg from my work place to my home at 2am in the morning over the 12 miles I cover.

It would have been less, but needless to say your mpg at terminal speed in a PD130 + a few go faster bits is (on the trip computer) 23odd mpg!

I could help but watch my mpg go up.....

That sounds like a storm matey, cant wait to see it now! Insurance hopefully wont be to bad for you, have you done a quote for next year see how it looks?

Any NEW seat comes with TWO years Seat warranty, and a THIRD year dealership warranty as far as I am aware, so the car is still in warrenty. As much as id like you to get a new map etc... I would say lots of people have mapped cars whilst still in warranty and have had NO problems with dealers. Infact has anyone EVER had a problem with a mapped car for warranty?

I took mine in for a new turbo & maf sensor (sticking vanes) with all my rally vinyl's all over it which include tuning companies, and they did it :D

but dont forget to change at 4k rpm! :D

Speak for yourself! Mine pulls to the red line in most gear's :p
