Ghost Bonnet?

30sec EXP @ F22 ISO 100 - No Flash

Technique:

Camera mounted on tripod and set to 30sec exposure, with bonnet OPEN. Start the exposure (best done with remote), about 20secs into the exposure get someone to cover the lens with a piece of black card (or in my case a satnav leather wallet) while you quickly shut the bonnet, as soon as your out of the shot the lens needs uncovering for the remainder of the exposure.

Oh well ... still a nice shot though .... you could go one step further and do ghost bonnet, doors and boot ... quite a cool way to show off engine mods, boot builds etc

lol, yeah i was going to do a shot will everthing open but was running out of daylight. Next time

No, just a clear filter for lens protection. Light stars were caused by long exposure time

Was going to try and pull that off without photoshop but couldnt get enough light in to the engine bay at the time. Should be possible though
