2005 SEAT IBIZA 1.9TDi Sport 100 3dr Diesel Hatchback!!!! :p

Its taken me quite a while to find one, but luckily stumbled accross a really good one! Off to pick it up tomorow providing everything goes to plan, already seen it in the flesh and i love it!! Its a nice upgrade from my 1.4 1998 VW Polo - even though that shall be missed.

Rang up my insurance and they're swapping me from third party fire and theft on my Polo to fully comp on the new car for £90 for the remainding three months left on my policy, which i was happily suprised at, thought i'd be paying a lot more at 18 with it still being my first year of driving.

Here's a couple of pics of the actual one i should be getting.

Excuse the pic quality, shall be taking some new ones once i have it.

Nice looking motor mate. I joined the derv club at the weekend as well with the PD130 Sport. Not quite as new as your's though, mines a 52. Are you planning on doing anything to it?

Good result on the insurance by the way, I'm 19 and we do get hammered hard.

Then you have far too much money for you're own good :p

Do you do all the work on the car yourself then?

Some of us deserve to have high premiums I suppose - I wrote off my first car. Fortunately 19 months of accident-free motoring (other than 1 that wasn't my fault, someone went into the back of me) and I'm now on my 5th car. My driving style did change dramatically afterwards, so I guess we will live and learn ;)

yeah i decided on the 100 because of its low insurance group, dead happy i kept looking now i've found that thought.

To start with i'm going to keep majority of it standard - mainly because i don't know how changing from original spec will affect the warranty?? The first thing i shall probalby do are get the bump strips along the side sprayed to match the blue and possibly remove the rear badges, not sure about tinting the back three windows yet, it sometimes looks good and other times doesn't. When the warranty runs out i'm planning on getting it mapped and hopefully get it running around 130 - 140bhp with a few other things - green panel filter and exhaust system etc. Even the 100bhp and torque it has standard will seem very fast to me.

I'm rather excited :D! I shall be attending quite a few meets from now on and will keep you updated on the mods.

Ask him about the day spanielsfr took him out and showed him how to properly treat and drive an ibiza..... To say he was shitting himself was an understatement

You're standard power will become boring very quickly. Picked my car up Saturday and it already feels comfortable to me. The car *feels* like it can do alot more, thats the trouble wiv em ;) you'll be itching to fiddle before that warranty is up :)

OL1, glad to hear you finally got one you liked. Will no doubt see it sooner rather than later!

im sure i read somewhere its pretty easy to get it the same as a pd130 before mapping

Depends what you class as easy? I guy around the lincoln area has done it, and it did mean abit of work! Injectors etc etc...

But as people with the Cupra PD160 will say to owners of the FR PD130 which can get the same sorta performance with little work. Its performance as in power, will take alot for brakes, suspension, interoir.

Tho, the PD100 should map to around 140bhp and with a few other bits might see 150bhp on the Dyno Lottery :D

Welcome to the forum.

I bought the PD100 aswell and im very happy with it.

You will get persuaded just like i did.

Got a re-map done, with the PD160 intake and Green Panel filter, the difference was great.

In the process of changing the look of mine just now, but they are a great car to start with.
