On a serious note, I forgot to mention earlier that we do have visitors who's first language may not be English, so their understanding of txt spk may not be as great as the UK populous.

but to the newbies, it takes a while to get a handle on the forums so a friendly word in the shell like is sometimes all it needs and not half of the grammar police jumping on their backs, granted some of the comments coming back were less than favourable but lets give the newbies a chance eh lads!

That's the trouble though Saul. A lot of newbies jump in with both feet and don't get a feel of the forum first. A bit like going into a pub and acting completely differently to all the regulars in there, rather than weighing the place up first. Some of it is not knowing any better, but a portion is lack of courtesy to others.......

hello there friend, we on this forum like to use full english, rather than the use of text or elite speak. as some of our foreign counterparts don't know english that well, it makes understanding this language pretty damn hard if you code your replies in this way. you will get a lot more help & a lot less flaming if you obide by these simple rules/ many thanks young chappy, and welcome to the information capitol of the seat !!!
