What be the best block to measure on a TDI 150 engine to determine if the K&N filter is better than the standard paper element?
My mate has a Golf TDI 150 and we want to log it with standard filter and then put my K&N in and log it again to see if the car does gain anything, or even loose anything.
Any advice would be greatfully received.
Thanks

Surprised that no-one could offer any advice about this.
I think i'll try and log for peak torque and work out BHP with and without the K&N filter and see what those results show. I don't expect to see much in the way of BHP improvement, but it may show something interesting.

FWIW, some German TDI guys did these sort of logs already - the result was (as far as I remember) in that particular case...

dirty old stock filter = best
new stock filter = standard values
new k&n = worst result of all 3

Thats interesting. Do you have a link? I'd be interested to see the results myself and go back to stock if need be.
I'm still keen on logging it myself anyway (because i can:lol: ) but it always helps to have another view on the topic.
