Hi there guys, Im new to giving a **** about what my car looks like and have aquired some products and any info/advice would be appreciated.

Meguires NXT Gen Wash
AG Super Resin polish
AG Ultra Deep Shine

Ive not used the AG stuff yet but im very imressed by the Meguires NXT Gen Wash, So i was thinking of buying the Meguires NXT Wax.

Questions i have are is there any point using the AG ultra deep shine if im using the NXT Wax? and if i do which order should they be used.

thanks peeps.

All three, NXT Wax, AG SRP and AG UDS are one step proucts.

They all contain a small amount of cleaner, some polish, and then resin/polymers to provide protection.

Trying to layer any of them is not really going to be beneifical. You could use the SRP to give the paintwork a good clean, then gently layer the NXT over the top, prob best if you are going to use these products that way.

Hope that helps.

I'd leave the AG stuff out the picture, too much dust is created, & besides the AG SRP & NXT are both the same in terms of being a "Cleaner wax"

As for the AG ADS, not used it, but again, dust is an issue i understand. Why not get a tub of P21S Carnuaba wax to top the NXT off, that combo works a treat, super slick & wet looking:-o

Thanks alot guys. And if I could get my car looking as sweet as that David i would be very happy.

Im getting the impression i shoudl just dump the Ultra Deep shine stuff in favour of the NXT wax? if so could i use it on my wheels or is that pointless/bad idea?

i think a good combo recommended by the pro detailers on here would be to use AG SRP topped with AG Extra Gloss Protection if doing it by hand. Then maybe i think a good wax, im not to sure on that though as ive just posted a thread asking that question.

Cheers i was pretty happy with the result did take my 51/2 hours in total tho.

5+1/2 hours is not too bad mate, its not like your doing it every weekend is it. You can tell the effort that went into it.

True, think im going to aim for about every 6 months for a hand detail and once a year for a pro detail with machine. Proberly worth having a machine detail to start then keep on top of it with the correct wash method and soem decent products! Thats what im going to do when the better weather is here.
