Am i correct to say that some people have had the 5 hour trial and then had problems with the car after the 5 hours has ran out?

Also is there a was that you can turn the remap on and off?(off if the misses drives it) If so what tool/equipment do you need to do this?

Thanks

I know you can use the revo sps to turn the map on/off or change to a different setting. Full details are on their site, and you can find them quite regularly on ebay.

As for the trial, I have no idea. I cant see how it can just stop working without f*cking your car! What if your booting it at 150 down the A30 and your 5 hour trial runs out!? Thats gonna sting!

cordobabrendy - what happens when the trial ends!? I can imagine its not like a free trial of a game on your PC!

It reverts to a stock performance mode, because its made alterations to the original code it puts a version back on that is the same as stock.
As I said, i didnt have any issues whatsoever.
When mine ran out i was accelerating around 60mph but it wasnt like the car just died, it kept going but just didnt feel as quick as it did ten seconds before it happened. It really does make you want to go out and get it properly.

If you get a revo trial, can you get it taken off and have another map installed? I am like a blind man with no hands when it comes to this.

in a word yes but some companies dont like messing with other companies software because they cant or dont want to. read up on revo, apr, cc etc and make your decision and get the full version, theres no point getting a trial only to go to another company when you should have researched each maps characteristics, ie revo coming in with a fair clout compared to other maps coming in gently.

Had my trial, 5hours later the car, the car reseted by not starting the 1st time. That showed the ecu has gone back to stock levels!
But my orginal stock levels felt better than revo stock level.

mine was rubbish after trial ran out, was getting 17mpg a was driving real careful

took about a week to adapt properly,
Of course, if i had disconnected the battery then it would have learnt properly straight away

some people get issues with throttle alignment apparantly but a battery disconnect sorts that out too or a trip back to the garage you got it from.
